St. Joseph's Ministry Fair
“What I do you cannot do; but what you do, I cannot do. The needs are great, and none of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.” – Mother Teresa
FOCA (Freedom of Choice Act)
A Radical Threat to Human Life
We are facing the most serious threat to pro-life policies ever – the “Freedom of Choice Act”, or FOCA. The bill would create a right to abortion the government could not limit and bring about a national abortion policy far worse then the US Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision. For the first time, abortion would become an entitlement the government must fund and promote. Citizens would lose the freedom they now have to enact even modest regulation of the abortion industry.
FOCA would:
Simply put, if FOCA becomes law, it will put at risk all the widely supported laws that for 35 years have promoted women’s health, ensured informed consent, protected minors, ensured parental involvement, safe-guarded rights of conscience, and respected the desire of most citizens not to support abortion with their tax dollars.
There are postcards available at our parish for you to send to your state representatives in Washington DC. They will be distributed the weekend of January 31st and February 1st at all the Masses.

Saint Joseph's Parish Mission Statement
We, the people of Saint Joseph’s Parish, by the grace of God, born again in the waters of Baptism, seek to create a community where our mutual faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, encourages us to continue growing as disciples. We believe that discipleship is a way of life. We strive to show that we are committed disciples, eager to welcome the stranger, to feed the hungry, to shelter the homeless, and to comfort the bereaved. Inspired by God’s word and nourished by the Eucharist, we pledge ourselves to active discipleship all for God’s great glory and honor.
