Saint Joseph’s is a well-established school with a legacy of 70 years educating the children of the Bogota /Teaneck area. In recent years, we have serviced students from many other towns in Bergen County. Saint Joseph School is Middle States Accredited and a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Saint Joseph is a kindergarten through 8th grade Catholic School, with a pre kindergarten program offering classes for Pre-K 3-4 & Pre-K 4-5, which is under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Newark. The primary purpose of Saint Joseph School is to challenge and educate our students spiritually, morally, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically for their future yet allowing them to be children in the present. In a loving, nurturing, safe environment, our students receive a strong religious and academic foundation, helping to bring them to their fullest potential in becoming responsible and productive citizens and members of God’s family. We accomplish these goals by encouraging our students to accept and live out the call of the Gospel.

Saint Joseph's School Mission Statement
We, the administrators, faculty and staff, strive to serve the faith community of Saint Joseph Parish, Bogota-Teaneck, by enhancing our Catholic identity and challenging one another to accept and live out the call of the Gospel. We share our God-given gifts and talents in order to provide academic and spiritual support for our students. We strive to bring each to his/her potential in becoming productive members of God’s family. It is our belief that through varied models of instruction in the areas of academics and human knowledge, our students will be guided to live out our Christian values and deepen their respect for the democratic society in which we live.
Where We Excel …
Daily prayer and religion classes, regular liturgies and religious services (based on a selected spiritual theme for the year), preparation of the sacraments, and involvement in many activities and projects that serve others form the framework of our students’ spiritual and moral growth.
Our academic curriculum includes the subjects of religion, reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, physical education, art, music, Spanish, and computer technology – presented through varied models of instruction, logical and sequential presentation, and constant monitoring enable each student to reach their potential and achieve a level of success. In addition, this curriculum strives for academic excellence, stressing communication skills, motivating creativity, fostering critical and logical thinking, and instilling a love for learning.
We strive, at Saint Joseph School, to affirm each one’s self-worth and dignity as an individual and as a child of God, and to foster a peaceful atmosphere among the entire school community. This extended community of parish, faculty, students, and parents contributes to the overall supportive and family atmosphere existing at Saint Joseph School.
The dedicated administration, faculty, and staff in collaboration with parents in the framework of a close-knit community provide a foundation upon which each student is known as an individual and nurtured to become a responsible and productive citizen and member of God’s family.
