Saint Joseph’s School Programs

PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM

Beginning with the new school year in September 2008, St. Joseph Parish will sponsor a pre-kindergarten program for 4 and 5 year olds. The program will be held in St. Joseph School with a full time, certified teacher and classroom aide.

The program will provide the youngsters with a comprehensive educational curriculum approved by the Archdiocese of Newark in a nurturing environment. The day will include Catholic prayers and education, social skills, reading and math readiness skills, music, arts and crafts, computers, playtime and educational games.

A hot lunch a nd an afternoon snack are provided to our pre-kindergarten youngsters at no additional charge. However, the children can bring their own meal and snack, if desired. There is a separate room for quiet time and naps.

This is a full day program and our schedule will be concurrent with that of St. Joseph School, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For your convenience the door will open for before school care at 7:00 a.m. After care is also available from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for an additional fee.

EXTENDED CARE PROGRAM

St. Joseph School offers an extended day BEFORE and AFTER CARE program for our students to meet the needs of the parents whose children require supervision beyond regular school hours. This includes before care from 7: a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and after school care from 3:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. A fee schedule is available at the office.
